FAQ

Where are you located?

My office location is:

14074 Trade Center Drive; SR 37 SW corner
of 141st Street.

What are your hours?

Typically, they are 9 am to 4 pm on Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 am-5 pm. I can be flexible some weeks.

What is your fee?

I charge $170 per session for couples counseling and $135 for individuals. Credit Cards must be on file, and payment is due the same day as services.  Some insurance companies will reimburse you, if you provide them with a “Superbill”.

How long are the sessions?
Individual sessions are typically 60 minutes, and couples sessions are 90 minutes. If we run over, there is no extra charge. Sometimes, going a bit longer is necessary.
Do you think you can help us or me?
It depends on several factors, but I will do my best to help you meet your goals.
Do you take insurance?

I never take insurance for couples counseling.

I do take United Health Care, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Oscar Health, and Oxford for individual clients only

Insurance clients must set up their Headway Account. A separate email will be provided directly from Headway to help you finish setting up your account. Please sign all the forms and provide all the information needed before your scheduled session to avoid delays in submitting claims to your insurance.

Do you work with teens?
No. My preferred age group starts at 20 years old.
Are you married?
Yes. While that does not make me a better counselor, my experience does help me understand things a little better.
Do you work with premarital couples?
Yes. I am a certified premarital counselor.
What am I supposed to do in therapy?
Bring issues that you want help processing. The client should talk more than the therapist. Understand that it will take us about three sessions to build rapport.
Do you work with men for the most part?
No. I prefer working with women who have dealt with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationships.
Who is your ideal client?

My ideal client is motivated, goal-oriented, middle- to upper-class, and willing to learn new ways of doing things. I understand therapy can be expensive but my idea client knows they can afford my rates so it is never an issue.
